Consultation on Social Security in Scotland

The Scottish Government has announced a consultation on the new social security scheme that will soon operate in Scotland. The scheme will see control and responsibility for a number of support streams transfer to the Scottish Government.

The new arrangements in Scotland will provide an historic opportunity for a new system to be created; one that better responds to those  suffering with rare and/or invisible illnesses. We would encourage anyone with an interest in disability support and social security in Scotland to respond to the consultation by 28 October 2016.
